Experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right candidate who is motivated, organized, and eager to learn.
Position Overview:
As a Parts Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that all necessary parts are ordered, tracked, and received in a timely and accurate manner. You’ll play a crucial role in keeping our repair process running smoothly by maintaining organized inventory, communicating with vendors, and supporting the workflow of our technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Order and track auto parts based on repair estimates and job needs
Follow up with vendors to confirm pricing, availability, and delivery timelines
Maintain an organized parts inventory and stockroom
Delegate and distribute parts efficiently to technicians upon arrival
Work closely with estimators and production staff to ensure timely repairs
Build and maintain professional relationships with parts vendors and suppliers
Handle returns, core charges, and warranty part processes as needed
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all orders
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Clear and professional communication
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory systems
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
Prior experience in parts ordering or auto body shop operations
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus
