We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings, provide oral hygiene instructions, and assist the dentist during procedures. Duties:

- Perform dental cleanings, including removing plaque and calculus from teeth

- Take and develop dental x-rays

- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed

- Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and taking vital signs

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for improvement

- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed

- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records

- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment

- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and techniques

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred

- Proficiency in pediatric dental care is a plus

- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and techniques

- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding

- Ability to perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs

- Experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) for dental restorations is beneficial

- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document medical information

Skills:

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients of all ages

- Ability to work well within a team environment

- Proficiency in using dental software for medical documentation and recordkeeping

- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques for dental diagnostics

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $46.00 - $50.00 per year

Expected hours: 9 – 14 per week

Schedule: Mondays are a 9-hour shift and Saturdays are a 5-hour shift. No Saturday Hours in July and August. Saturday hours are the 1st and 3rd of the month.

Work Location: In person
