We are looking for a strong and passionate
SOUS CHEF and EXPEDITING SOUS CHEF
to join our busy Italian restaurant.
Successful candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of management experience working in a professional kitchen. Candidates will expedite busy service, plan and oversee production and communicate effectively. Chef must be able to handle multiple tasks in a composed, friendly and hospitable manner and has the speed and skill to manage the fast-pace of our restaurant. Successful candidates will have experience and be able to demonstrate competency in the following areas:
● Proven communication skills; comfortable speaking and explaining dishes; Spanish language proficiency a plus but not required
● Temperament that promotes teamwork; recognizes the importance of being a teacher while upholding the standards and ethics of the restaurant;
● As a Chef, you will be expected to expedite busy service maintaining standards of quality, responding to all issues to ensure a smooth service; knowledgeable of DOH standards; equipment and facilities maintenance is a priority
● Have an understanding of the restaurant’s cuisine, be able to create and compose a menu along with descriptions; be able to prepare for seasonal changes
