Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Server Captain to lead our service team during events. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of food and beverage service, and the ability to manage and direct a team effectively. This role requires a reliable individual who can follow instructions, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and maintain high service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the team of servers during events to ensure seamless operations.

Communicate effectively in English to give clear instructions and address client needs.

Ensure all team members understand and follow the event setup, menu, and service sequence.

Serve as the main point of contact between event managers, kitchen staff, and servers.

Conduct pre-event briefings to review the event timeline, menu details, and service expectations.

Assist in the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring everything is organized and clean.

Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address any issues promptly.

Ensure guests’ needs are met promptly and professionally during the event.

Drive to event locations if required and assist with transporting supplies if needed.

Requirements:

Language Skills: Must speak and understand English fluently.

Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.

Menu Knowledge: Strong understanding of food and beverage service; ability to explain dishes and beverages clearly.

Driving: A valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role in food and beverage, catering, or hospitality.

Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays or equipment for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of wine pairings and fine dining service standards.

Experience with event planning or catering logistics.

Certification in food safety or alcohol service (e.g., ServSafe, TIPS).

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate or salary based on experience.

Travel reimbursement for event-related driving.
