Job Title: Restaurant Server - Madame, Jersey City
Position Overview:
Madame, a celebrated dining venue located in the heart of Jersey City, is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Server to enhance our team. As a Server at Madame, you will be the face of our restaurant, providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests with your knowledge, attentiveness, and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests promptly and warmly upon their arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials, and assist guests in making food and beverage selections.
- Take orders accurately and communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure prompt and precise service.
- Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner and ensure all guests' needs are met throughout their dining experience.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining a high level of service and hospitality.
- Process payments and handle cash and card transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including setting and resetting tables.
- Uphold the restaurant's high standards of service and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Server, Waitstaff member, or similar role in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, with a focus on customer satisfaction and dining experience.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in hospitality or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
