Position Overview: As a Line Cook at Edgewood Country Club, you play a crucial role in delivering high-quality culinary experiences to our members and guests. You will work closely with the Executive Chef/Chef De Cuisine and Sous Chef to ensure efficient kitchen operations and uphold our commitment to excellence in food preparation and service.
Pay Range: $20.00+ per hour (commensurate with level of experience)
Prior experience in country clubs, hotels, or high-end restaurant environment is strongly preferred. Weekend and holiday availability is required.
As the Line Cook at Edgewood Country Club, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing meats, seafood, vegetables and other items required for line and special function purposes
- Following standard recipes meticulously during food preparation
- Using food preparation equipment according to manufacturers’ instructions
- Maintaining cleanliness of the work station and kitchen equipment
- Ensuring compliance with all local health codes and HACCP procedures, maintaining proper organization, temperatures and cleanliness standards
- Assisting with the preparation of other food products on the serving line as needed
- Attending kitchen staff meetings and actively contribute to discussions
- Completing other related tasks as assigned

- Have a high school diploma or equivalent (experience can be substituted)
- Experienced (required minimum of three years) in kitchen operations, food preparation and execution
- Established in maintaining professional standards of conduct and appearance
- Certified in food safety (preferred)
- Have the ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Flexible with working weekends and holidays
- Knowledgeable and consistently follows food safety practices; able to perform during emergency situations
- Comfortable working in hot, humid and/or noisy environment
- Capable of standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, bending and/or reaching for long periods of time; can push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds
