Job Description: Dishwasher, Food Prep, Fill-in Pizza Guy
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and adaptable individual to join our team as a Dishwasher, Food Prep, Fill-in Pizza Guy. This hybrid role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness of our kitchen, assisting in food preparation, and filling in as needed to ensure the smooth operation of our pizzeria. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for maintaining high standards of hygiene and food quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dishwashing:
- Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, and utensils.
- Ensure dishwashing area is organized and free of clutter.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the dishwashing equipment and area.
- Food Preparation:
- Assist in preparing pizza ingredients, including chopping vegetables, preparing meats, and portioning toppings.
- Prepare dough and sauces according to established recipes and guidelines.
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure the freshness and safety of all ingredients.
- Pizza Assembly:
- Assemble and cook pizzas to order during peak times or when regular staff are unavailable.
- Ensure each pizza meets our quality standards for taste, appearance, and portion size.
- Kitchen Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning surfaces, and taking out the trash.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Customer Service:
- Occasionally interact with customers, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Team Support:
- Fill in for regular staff during absences, vacations, or peak times, performing any kitchen-related tasks as needed.
- Compliance:
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in dishwashing, food preparation, or a kitchen environment is preferred.
- Skills:
- Basic cooking and food preparation skills.
- Ability to follow recipes and procedures accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
