As a Cashier/Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests, embodying our commitment to excellent service and authentic Jamaican hospitality.

Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Greet customers warmly as they enter the restaurant. Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions regarding food, beverages, and dietary restrictions. Ensure a memorable dining experience by delivering attentive and friendly service.

Order Taking and Processing: Accurately take customer orders in person or over the phone. Utilize the POS system to enter orders, manage payments, and provide customers with receipts. Ensure all orders are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.

Food Preparation and Serving: Assist in the quick, hygienic preparation of Jamaican dishes, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards. Serve food to customers at the counter or table, as required.

Cash Handling: Process payments from customers using cash, credit/debit cards, or other payment methods. Maintain accurate cash drawer through shifts and ensure transactions are processed securely and promptly.

Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, counter, and kitchen. Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.

Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels of food supplies and restaurant materials. Communicate low stock levels to management to ensure timely replenishment.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and management to ensure seamless service and a positive working environment. Participate in staff meetings and training as required.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the food service industry, is an advantage. Friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine desire to provide guests with exceptional service. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under pressure. Basic math skills for handling cash and providing correct change. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
