Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions and maintaining a welcoming environment. Responsibilities
1. Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries to ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
2. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently during checkout.
3. Process transactions, handle cash, and provide change as necessary while adhering to basic math principles.
4. Stock shelves and maintain product displays to ensure the store is organized and well-presented.
5. Upsell products by effectively communicating promotions and special offers to customers.
6. Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and throughout the store.
8. Collaborate with team members to support overall store operations and customer service goals.
Experience
1. Proven experience in customer service
2. Strong phone etiquette skills for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
3. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members, fostering a positive atmosphere.
5. Experience with POS systems is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
6. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
7. A proactive approach to upselling products to enhance the shopping experience.
8. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
