Job Posting: Administrative Assistant to the Owner of Two Growing Hospitality Companies

Location: Whippany, NJ

Hours: Full-time, 8-10 hours/day, 5-6 days/week

I am the owner of two dynamic and growing companies, David Alan Caterers LLC and Rockwood Catering LLC, and I am looking for a dedicated and experienced Administrative Assistant to work directly alongside me. This is not your typical 9-to-5 office job — it’s an opportunity to be immersed in the hospitality business and make a meaningful impact on our growth.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct administrative support to the owner, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.

Communicate professionally with clients, staff, and vendors on behalf of the owner.

Draft and edit correspondence, proposals, and business documents with attention to detail.

Manage schedules, appointments, and follow-ups to keep operations running smoothly.

Organize and prioritize daily tasks while adapting to shifting priorities.

Assist with customer relations, ensuring a top-tier experience for all clients.

Support the operations of two businesses, helping with day-to-day needs, problem-solving, and learning on the fly.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: Previous administrative experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment is a must. Experience in the hospitality industry is highly preferred.

Work Ethic: A hard-working, reliable individual who thrives on challenges and doesn’t back down from a busy day.

Personality: Friendly, professional, and customer-focused. You must take pride in your work and enjoy making people happy.

Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask under pressure. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Mindset: Willingness to learn, adapt, and take direction without hesitation. Someone who understands that getting the job done is the priority.
