Description:
We’re looking for a passionate and energetic songwriter, musician (guitarist or pianist), or music producer to join our innovative in-school residency program. This role involves working with young children (3rd graders and up) in a classroom studio setting to create original music, write songs, and record in a mobile studio.
What We’re Looking For:
A fun and engaging individual who loves working with kids.
Experience in songwriting, music production, or playing an instrument (guitar or piano preferred).
Strong classroom management skills for groups of 20+ students.
Technologically savvy with experience using a DAW (digital audio workstation) and a personal laptop.
Punctual and reliable with dependable transportation.
Ability to follow a structured lesson plan and adapt as needed.
Someone who can pass a background check and is open to a one-month probation period.
Responsibilities:
Teach students in an in-school residency program to write and create original songs.
Guide students through fun and creative musical activities.
Assist with recording sessions in a mobile studio.
Maintain a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications:
Prior experience working with kids is preferred, as this role involves a learning curve for those without it.
Producers must be proficienct in a DAW (e.g., GarageBand, Logic, Pro Tools, etc.).
A passion for music and teaching!
Compensation:
Pay ranges from $29.50 to $37.50 per hour, depending on experience and role.
Other Details:
Hours are flexible, but punctuality is a must.
A training period is required before starting.
