We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Music Instructor/Music Teacher to join our team and work with adults with disabilities. The ideal candidate must be proficient in playing and teaching guitar and/or piano and other instruments. The position requires someone who is patient, compassionate, and dedicated to making a meaningful impact through music education. Lessons will be conducted both in person and online based on the student's needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide engaging and supportive music lessons tailored to the individual needs of each student.
Teach guitar, piano, and/or other instruments to adults with disabilities.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves through music.
Foster a love for music while helping students develop their skills and confidence.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with supervisors.
Requirements:
Must be proficient in playing and teaching guitar and/or piano; knowledge of additional instruments is a plus.
Previous experience teaching music is required.
Ability to teach both in-person and online.
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to clients’ homes when needed.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Patient, empathetic, and compassionate attitude toward students with disabilities.
Commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity in the music education field.
