About the Role:
The ESL Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English language instruction to students of varying proficiency levels. The role involves creating lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a supportive learning environment that encourages language development and cultural understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver English lessons tailored to student needs and proficiency levels
Develop and implement interactive learning activities and materials
Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, tests, and participation
Provide constructive feedback to students to support continuous improvement
Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and progress
Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom atmosphere
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development sessions
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field
TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification (required or preferred depending on institution)
Previous experience teaching ESL or EFL students (in-person or online)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Preferred Skills:
Experience with digital teaching tools and online learning platforms
Knowledge of second language acquisition principles
Creativity in lesson planning and classroom management
