For over 28 years, Express Employment Professionals of Northern NJ has been helping people find work. We currently have an opening for two Employment Specialists for the Hawthorne NJ office.

In this position, you will help connect job seekers with available jobs, supervise small teams of employees, qualify applications and schedule interviewing appointments.

The main goal is to place people into jobs and interview new job seekers. Posting job ads online, attending job fairs and posting recruiting flyers is common activity for this job.

Position will include the following duties:

Calling/communicating with local companies to discuss job seekers qualifications

Market/Sell candidates to local companies (think sports agent!)

Conduct Quality Control Checks

Candidate recruiting and attending Job Fairs

Scheduling interviews and screening applicants

Processing applicant paperwork

Conducting phone and face to face interviews

Interact with sales team, payroll department and management daily

Do you have the following requirements/experience?

2 or 4 year degree (preferred)

5-7 years of experience in a customer service, human resource or inside sales experience preferred

Outgoing, friendly, and professional attitude

Ability to multitask and manage deadlines

Understanding of common business practices and procedures

Knowledge of Microsoft Office- typing and data entry ability

Ability to talk on the phone and call internal and external customers

Reliable Transportation

Ability to interact with various individuals on a daily basis

Strong Desire to Succeed

Team player who will also be an individual contributor

Ability to adapt to change and growth

Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Day Shift- Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM (hours could vary based on client needs)
