Our client is a large and rapidly growing healthcare group looking for an experienced Revenue Cycle Specialist to join and assist their ever-growing team!
SALARY/HOURLY RATE:
$21 – $23/hr
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Revenue Cycle Specialist will be responsible for the billing, collecting payments, and the accurate application of all payments in a timely manner. Candidates for this Revenue Cycle Specialist role must be motivated and able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Experience is a must and there is internal room for growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE REVENUE CYCLE SPECIALIST:
Prepare and submit clean claims to various insurance companies
Research and perform all secondary billing
Ensure appropriate supporting documentation is received and completed
Review and recommend claims for adjustment/write off to management
Accurate and timely processing of claims
Analyze and update claims submitted and rejected
Payment Posting
Insurance follow ups
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE REVENUE CYCLE SPECIALIST:
2+ years of experience
Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10—CPC Certification is a plus
Strong time management and communication skills
Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including HMO/PPO, Medicare, and state Medicaid
Problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies, denials, and appeals
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Experience in a high-volume setting
Ability to work independently and cohesively in a team setting
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or GED is required
