We are seeking to hire a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join their team.
SALARY/HOURLY RATE:
$25/hr - $30/hr
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting directly to the Financial Manager, the Bookkeeper will be responsible for handling the fundamental aspects of our organization's financial record keeping. This includes managing financial transactions, creating financial reports, keeping up-to-date records, and ensuring that our financial operations are transparent and run smoothly.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BOOKKEEPER:
Managing accounts payable and receivable
Conducting regular ledger entries, reconciliations, and account adjustments
Assisting in preparing budget reports
Conducting periodic audits
Keeping financial records updated
Complying with all state and federal tax filing deadlines
Reviewing and implementing financial policies as needed
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE BOOKKEEPER:
Proven bookkeeping experience
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of accounting software like QuickBooks
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Associate's degree is preferred but not required
