Play a critical part in a team environment as a temporary Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk in a thriving company. Updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, processing expense reports, resolving A/P issues, and matching, batching, and coding invoices are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. This is a fantastic role and you will have the opportunity for experience in this dynamic department.
Location: North Bergen, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Compensation: $22.00 per hour
Duties and responsibilities
-Execute additional tasks as needed
-Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
-Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
-Provide support during internal and external audits
-Fulfill full-cycle A/P
-Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
-Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
-Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
-Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
Requirements
-Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
-AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
-Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
-Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
-Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
