Position Details Position Information Recruitment/Posting Title Associate Professor of Professional Practice Department RBS-Supply Chain Management Salary Open Posting Summary The Department of Supply Chain Management (SCM) at Rutgers Business School invites applications for a non-tenure track position as Associate Professor of Professional Practice in SCM, to begin on July 1, 2022.Requirements:Successful applicants should hold a Ph.D. in supply chain management, healthcare service management, operations management, healthcare service delivery or a closely related discipline; have prior research experience; and have established expertise in supply chain management or healthcare service management/delivery. The successful candidate should have demonstrated ability to teach effectively in undergraduate and graduate programs and supervise students. Successful candidates should have experience working in interdisciplinary teams, and a strong interest in collaborating with academic faculty, as well as in pursuing external grants. Demonstrated ability to teach project management, healthcare analytics, healthcare service management/delivery, or related courses is highly preferred. Experiential knowledge of addressing healthcare disparities in underserved communities and clinical experience in various healthcare settings, while not required, are desirable.Responsibilities:Besides working on research projects and publishing research papers, this position's teaching load will be 18 credits per year. Service responsibilities include offering students in the graduate healthcare analytics program academic and career advising whenever necessary.The SCM Department at Rutgers Business School offers programs at the Ph.D., MBA, M.S. and undergraduate levels, and, together with the Rutgers Center for Supply Chain Management, develops and conducts domestic and international executive training programs. SCM courses are offered at both the Newark and New Brunswick campuses of Rutgers University during the day, evenings, and weekends, with continuously ever-growing student demand. The Rutgers SCM program has over 148 corporations as educational partners, and is highly ranked in the nation. In 2021, U.S. News & World Report named both its undergraduate and graduate programs #12 in the U.S. The department's success has drawn many employers to Rutgers Business School to recruit SCM students, to launch joint research projects, and to deliver joint executive trainings.
