Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an entry-level Accountant in Newark, New Jersey. The role involves performing accounting functions within the industry, utilizing various software systems. You will be expected to contribute to cross-functional teams and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial records.Responsibilities: Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, maintaining the financial health of the organization. Use Accounting Software Systems and other tools such as Adobe Acrobat and Dynamics NAV to manage accounting entries. Ensure accurate account coding and reconciliation of accounts to prevent discrepancies. Offer support to other departments, fostering a collaborative work environment. Apply effective ERP solutions to streamline financial operations. Conduct account analysis to identify trends and financial status. Maintain punctuality and regular attendance to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Leverage your knowledge of accounting functions to contribute to the team and help in areas beyond your immediate role. Participate in virtual and in-person meetings and interviews as required. Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and present financial data. Requirements Possess skills in Account Coding and Account Analysis Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with Adobe Acrobat Familiarity with Dynamics NAV and ERP Solutions Ability to perform Accounting Entries and Accounting Functions Experience in Account Reconciliation Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel Must have the legal right to work in the United States Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
