Job Title: Utility Inspector - THIS IS A PART-TIME ROLE Job DescriptionWe are seeking a diligent and experienced Utility Inspector to join our team. This part-time contract position involves conducting utility pole inspections, capturing detailed field data, and ensuring quality control standards are met. You will drive around the Atlantic City region to perform inspections and report findings within a 30-day timeframe.Responsibilities
Conduct utility pole inspections and collect field intelligence.
Capture and document photos of the location, equipment, and construction progress.
Ensure the quality control of construction matches ACE requirements and standards.
Fill out and upload QC reports into the designated application.
Drive around the Atlantic City region for approximately 20 hours per month to perform inspections.
Essential Skills
Experience in utility construction and inspection.
Understanding of utility distribution and NJ utility standards.
Knowledge of cross arm utility poles.
Proficiency in field data collection.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience or knowledge within a NJ utility (JCPL, First Energy, PSEG, Exelon).
Ability to understand and read construction blueprints.
Strong understanding of utility pole construction and placements.
Work EnvironmentThis role involves on-site utility inspections with no opportunities for remote work. You will work independently and have the flexibility to make your own schedule, provided inspections are completed within 30 days of request. This part-time contract lasts for three years, offering 20 hours of work per week.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
