Job Description SummaryAs Lead Flight Attendant, you will oversee all aspects of cabin services, ensure passenger and crew safety, manage in-flight services, and act as a liaison between the cabin and flight deck. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to upholding the highest safety standards and have a passion for service. You will report directly to the Chief Pilot, and ensure that every passenger experiences the highest levels of comfort, safety, and personalized service. Primary Point of Contact for BDLT cabin – CEO, CFO, etc.
Ensuring training qualifications and records are maintained for flight attendants: annual recurrent training, inflight medical training, AED/CPR certification, food safety certification, SMS training and company policies
Creating and maintaining annual, in-house training, specific to the flight department’s aircraft. To include on board emergency equipment, department standards, policies and procedures and passenger protocols
Establishing and maintaining cabin standards, procedures, policies and processes
Protecting the investment of cabin furnishings with knowledge on accurate operation, care and cleanliness
Creating and maintaining a flight attendant manual and/ or cabin manual
Maintaining stockroom and aircraft supplies
Creating and maintaining confidential crew and passenger profiles for catering and medical concerns
Participating in flight attendant hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary action in conjunction with Chief Pilot and the company’s Human Resources Department
Managing or collaborating on the flight attendant’s schedules.
About You:
Minimum Associate's degree or above in business, customer service, or related field
Minimum of 7 years experience as a lead flight attendant
Experience working with C-suite/Sr. Leadership is required
5 years of experience working in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred
Excellent leadership abilities, and safety focus
Solid understanding of FAA guidelines and compliance procedures
Demonstrated detailed knowledge of relevant flight attendants' handbook
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Solid understanding of Microsoft Office
Ability to deescalate heated or volatile situations
Position is based out of Morristown, NJ and ideal candidate should be within approximately 1.5 hour driving distance of base.
