Digital Communication Specialist - Job Description Part-time, 30 hours, Mon-Thurs, 8AM-4PMEssential Functions/Responsibilities:Marketing for AVN – Fundraising and Agency

Develop and implement a robust social media plan for Atlantic Visiting Nurse, to promote our major fundraising events, including the Atlantic Visiting Nurse Rummage Sale.

Create social media content including photos, graphics, and video. Experience of creating short-form videos, Reels, preferable.

Schedule and track posts and events on agency social media channels.

Influencer marketing – identify and manage key social media influencers to promote our major fundraising event – the AVN Rummage Sale.

Manage email marketing campaigns targeted at large volunteer and customer base. Maintenance of email databases of volunteers and Rummage Sale customers.

Maintenance of AVN web pages on the AHS website.

Assist in development and production of printed materials, such as event signage, brochures, flyers, and snail mail.

Coordinate efforts with Corporate Marketing Team and outside vendors including graphic designer, photographer, web design and printer.

Media outreach – add fundraising events to What’s On guides. Identify possible media stories to promote fundraising events and work of AVN. Liaise with AHS PR team to draft and issue press releases.

Internal Communications

Schedule regular posts on internal system-wide social media channel, Workplace by Meta, to communicate agency news and accomplishments.

Take photos and create videos of agency events and news.

Manage regular e-newsletter for staff.

Create staff magazine twice a year.

General

The Specialist will partner with the Executive Director to build marketing plans, as well as drive, implement, monitor, and measure results of marketing activities to advance agency mission, strategic plan and business objectives.

The specialist demonstrates a strong understanding of marketing, critical thinking, and strategic counseling.

Represents the agency internally and externally.

Demonstrates project management skills and the ability to manage projects through the entire project life cycle.

Proactively seeks opportunities to build and improve positive relationships with colleagues, leaders, and experts. Understands and acts independently to drive functional strategies forward to advance agency mission, strategic plan and business goals. Builds credibility with peers and internal stakeholders. Coordinate public relations services and events. Attend all events to insure adequate coverage.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree Minimum Experience / Qualifications: Broad-based knowledge of marketing strategies Requires strong problem-solving, critical thinking, active listening, quantitative skills, persuasive oral and written communication skills, project management, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills Must be able to work independently and collaboratively to prioritize and drive forward multiple projects Must possess high personal motivation supporting a strong work ethic, flexibility, and creativity 2+ years’ experience managing social media for large brand and/or multiple entities in an agency or corporate setting Thorough knowledge of all social media channels, tactics and best practices, healthcare and HIPAA experience a plus Prior experience managing brand content on social media MS Suite knowledge- Word, Publisher, Power Point, Outlook and Excel Event planning / website management experience preferablePreferred experience:

Experience with social media scheduling software, such as Sprout.

Experience with email marketing software, such as Constant Contact.

Experience with graphic design editing software.

Experience with video editing software.
