Description We are in search of a Customer Service Representative to join our team in the Parsippany, New Jersey area. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity in the industry. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be at the forefront of maintaining customer satisfaction by ensuring the accuracy of customer orders and resolving any issues that arise. Responsibilities: Efficiently and accurately handle customer credit applications Keep customer credit records up-to-date and precise Respond to and resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner Review and process customer purchase orders in accordance with established procedures Confirm order details with customers within 24 hours of receipt Communicate actively with both new and existing customers regarding pricing, lead times, and any changes or requests Collaborate with the Logistics Team to gather and verify shipping information before directing an order to the appropriate warehouse Monitor open orders and shipments and notify customers proactively of any updates or issues related to their orders Work proactively with clients to understand their forecasts and future requirements to assist in planning shipments Ensure all order details, including pricing and quantity, are accurate before releasing an orderRequirements Proficiency in Order Entry is required, as the role involves processing customer orders. Familiarity with Sage 100 is necessary, as the software is used extensively for business management. Experience with Shipping Documentation is essential, as the role involves preparing and managing shipping documents. Excellent communication skills, as the role involves direct contact with customers. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, as the role requires multitasking between various customer service tasks. Detail-oriented and highly organized, as the role involves meticulous record-keeping and order tracking. Strong problem-solving skills, as the role may involve handling customer complaints and resolving issues. Proficiency in Office Suite, especially Excel, as the role involves managing and organizing data. Flexibility in working hours, as the role may require shift work or overtime. High school diploma or equivalent is required, higher education or certifications in related fields will be considered an asset.
