Description Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join their team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the company’s accounting and finance functions while ensuring accurate and timely billing processes.Key Responsibilities:
Generate and process invoices for products and services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and client agreements.
Review billing data and resolve discrepancies or billing errors in a timely manner.
Communicate with clients to answer inquiries, clarify billing issues, and provide support as needed.
Maintain up-to-date records of accounts receivable, payment status, and customer billing history.
Prepare and send reminders for overdue payments and work with the collections team as needed.
Process credit memos, adjustments, and returns in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist with the preparation of financial reports and monthly billing summaries for management.
Collaborate with other departments (sales, customer service, etc.) to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes.
Maintain confidentiality of client and company financial information.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or related field preferred).
Proven experience as a Billing Clerk, Accounts Receivable Clerk, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of billing procedures and accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.
