job detailsjob summary:A Regulatory and Test Specialist in the Long Branch, NJ area is needed for a multinational power management company. This role involves developing, maintaining, and executing regulatory approvals for fire and life safety products, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with local, national, and international codes/standards.location: Long Branch, New Jerseyjob type: Contractsalary: $34.53 - 48.00 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Associatesresponsibilities:

Maintain and execute regulatory approvals for fire and life safety products.

Submit requests to various regulatory bodies and manage projects to ensure required certifications.

Interface with development engineers, program management, and operations to ensure regulatory certifications meet required specifications.

Assist in developing Technical Publications for accuracy of installation instructions, User Manuals, Guides, and Technical Bulletins.

Plan, develop, and maintain test infrastructure required for product testing.

Develop processes, procedures, and interpret/executing policies, projects, and programs as needed.

Collaborate with Regulatory Bodies such as UL, ULC, FM, and others to execute testing and ensure compliance with local, national, and international codes/standards.

Skills:

Knowledge of measuring and recording electrical properties.

Ability to read schematics and engineering documentation with technical understanding.

Knowledge of product development lifecycle concepts.

Experience with defect tracking and version control tools.

Proficiency with Microsoft Windows/Office, SAP, and other software platforms.

Previous experience in effectively presenting information and making administrative decisions.

Proven ability to interpret technical instructions and draw valid conclusions.

Education and Experience:

AAS degree in Engineering or equivalent.

With 5 or more years of experience or 10 years of applicable experience.
