Regional Nutrition Manager of Community Health - Long Branch, NJReq #:0000144044Category:Dietitian / NutritionistStatus:Full-TimeShift:DayFacility:Monmouth Medical CenterDepartment:Community HealthLocation:Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740Job Summary:The Regional Nutrition Manager of Community Health, Social Impact and Community Investment provides comprehensive and data driven nutrition education across the lifespan and promotes healthy lifestyles and behaviors for the community,The RD assumes a regional perspective and responsibility in their work, implementing programs in the MMC and MMCSC catchment area, as well as the LiveWell Center,The position is based at the LiveWell Center in Eatontown, NJ,Works one evening a week and occasional weekends,The Registered Dietitian will develop various nutritional programs for individuals of all ages children to older adults in the form of ongoing group nutrition lectures, cooking demonstrations, and cook-along classes both virtually and in-person to promote health, understanding and management of their condition, optimize quality of life, and improve clinical outcomes,The position provides oversight of the daily operation and activities of the nutrition education program at the LiveWell Center, including but not limited to program development, cooking demonstrations, nutrition lectures, product procurement, and management of the demonstration kitchen e,g,supply inventory, maintain cleanliness, monitor equipment, etc,With a regional perspective, the individual also schedules, designs, and implements nutrition education programs in the MMC and MMCSC catchment area the community,The registered dietitian develops nutrition education content for social media posts where appropriate,The individual represents the hospital at relevant community events and connects with community partners who have a focus on nutrition education e,g,Food Pantries,The Registered Dietitian coordinates the LiveWell Center s Green Market during operating months, addressing ordering, invoice management with the Community Health Manager, and set-up/breakdown,The Dietitian will work collaboratively with the team s Community Health Educators on programs, including the community garden, the Better Health Program, and health education programs,The Registered Dietitian provides oversight for per diem registered dietitian and nutritionist, inclusive of scheduling and time sheet collection,Job Qualifications:BA/BS degree plus professional certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) accredited through CDR required. Demonstrates experience in nutrition education and group teaching. Current knowledge of standards of care and clinical guidelines for patients with chronic illnesses. Ability to work independently and develop productive and collaborative relationships with healthcare providers. Recognize and address the unique culture, language, health literacy, and age appropriate care of diverse populations. Have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
