Marine Mechanic – Full-Time, Year-Round

Position Summary:
We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Marine Mechanic to diagnose, maintain, and repair a variety of marine vessels and systems. You'll work on outboard and inboard engines, fuel and electrical systems, steering components, and more. If you have a strong mechanical background and a sharp eye for detail, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair issues in inboard, outboard, and sterndrive engines (e.g., Yamaha, Mercury, MerCruiser, Volvo Penta)
Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, tune-ups, cooling system service, winterization/spring commissioning
Troubleshoot and repair fuel, hydraulic, electrical, and cooling systems
Install, inspect, and service marine components (bilge pumps, trim/tilt systems, steering controls)
Perform engine alignments, prop inspections, and drive servicing
Use diagnostic software and tools for fault identification and calibration
Maintain accurate service records and adhere to safety/environmental standards
Communicate clearly with managers and customers regarding repair needs
Qualifications – Required:
At least 2 years of marine mechanical experience (or equivalent mechanical background with a strong interest in marine work)
Solid knowledge of two-stroke and four-stroke engine systems
Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must own a basic set of hand tools
Strong work ethic, independence, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
Preferred (Not Required):
Certifications from manufacturers like Yamaha, Mercury, or ABYC
Experience with diesel engines and marine generators
Boat trailer maintenance experience
