Greens and Grains is a group of fully plant based restaurants with 8 locations throughout New Jersey. Our restaurants are upscale casual quick service focused with an emphasis on fantastic innovative plant based cuisine. We are seeking a Line Cook to join our Wall location. his person will be part of a great kitchen team and must be an effective communicator that works well in a high volume team environment. No late nights as we close daily at 8pm! Shifts are 12 noon - 8pm 5 days per week. Weekend availability is required!
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely ticket times
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages.
Prep fresh produce, stellar knife skills
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen is required
Knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling, and safety practices is essential.
Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to grow within the food industry.
