We are looking for an ambitious Grill Cook to join our culinary team to assist in the preparation of high quality steaks and dishes in the kitchen. MUST HAVE STEAKHOUSE OR SIMILAR EXPERIENCE. You will perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients for food preparation according to menu recipes.
A successful grill cook will be quick, diligent, and willing to improve on the job. You will be skillful and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen and be able to function in a busy environment as a part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping/slicing vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
Braising and grilling meat and vegetables
Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef's instructions
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills & Qualifications
3 years of experience as a Line Cook on the grill in a Fine Dining restaurant
Flexibility with schedule
Culinary Degree, not required by preferred
Proven cooking experience, (steakhouse or similar required) including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Familiar with industry s best practices
While our core operating hours are Wednesday through Sunday you must be able to work any shift assigned such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays on occasion.
