Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION :Responsible for achievement of our Non-Metallic enclosures sales quota in the East US (all states east of the Mississippi River) + Canada including both direct and through distribution salesEnsures the electrical distribution channel is trained on how to sell Non-Metallic productsAnalyze and supervise activities of competitors on Non-Metallic products attending trade shows and collecting data from the fieldPartner with category team to identify new product categories / markets to drive new businessProvide reporting, and forecasting for business planning purposesMaintain relationships with customers and distributors to understand their requirements and develop appropriate solutions to meet their needs. This will include handling sophisticated accounts with multiple collaborators and at potentially multiple locationsDevelop and implement a sales strategy that focuses on the channel, end-users, and installers that enables territory management and sales growthContinuously scan for prospects with current or new customers to achieve new sales, expand offerings within the account, and populate the account pipeline consistently and on a timely basisProvide continual updates via CRM on the account and conversion status of target accountsProvide extensive product and solutions training for customers and distributorsRespond to customer questions and provide follow-up to ensure resolutionUnderstand current market relationships and partnerships with customers and distributors and maintain knowledge of competitors’ activities throughout assigned territoryDemonstrate high team engagement and alignment to the nVent valuesYOU HAVE :University degree preferred, but not neededIdeally 5+ years of direct OEM outside sales experience in the electrical, commercial, or industrial market; preferably selling through a channel modelAbility to work from a home office and travel 40-60% of the time, on average in the US (all states east of the Mississippi River + Canada) We are open to a home office anywhere in the US sales territory and will only be making 1 hireExperience selling into marine, solar, outdoor, industrial, and contractor markets is helpful but not a must-haveAbility to sell to multiple types of customers, including distributors, consultants, engineers, end users, OEMs, MROs, and contractorsDemonstrates partnerships in a team environment to drive the strategic plan.
