- Responsible for Incident management and conducting proper problem follow-up.
- Proactively monitor and manage the production environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application problems including but not limited to Job failures, feed management, monitoring etc
- Improve and or create documentation of support policies and procedures
- Understanding, in depth, the business processes supported by the system.
- Support application releases, implementations, upgrades, and/or changes into the environment.
- Ensuring continuity and quality by owning the resolution of issues across platforms.
- Tracking progress and escalating as appropriate unless resolution reached.
- To ensure that applications and related services are documented and kept current.
- Automate and build adhoc scripts as needed to address critical business needs.
- Maintaining a knowledge base of known defects and issues, process, techniques etc
- Takes part in production support rotation, and responding and resolving production problems
- Weekend or after-hours work is required to support critical business initiatives such as application deployments (Pre & Post activities), infrastructure changes, Industry-wide tests, or Disaster Recovery tests.
- Build strong partnership with CIO team, Infrastructure and platform teams
- 5+ years experience in development or production support
- Working experience with Oracle PL/SQL, Batch job scheduling tool (Autosys, SQL agent etc) is required
- Experience working with UNIX shell scripting, J2EE, Webservice, SOAP/REST support
- Performance tuning experience of Oracle PL/SQL Programs
- Experience in ITIL process and automating process improvements a plus.
