Our Office of Black Affairs Executive Director will provide strategic support and implementation of programs and initiatives aimed at advancing professional, educational, and economic opportunities. In this role, you will have a deep understanding of the challenges faced by the Black community and a passion for driving systemic change.As an Executive Director on our Office of Black Affairs team, you will report to the Head of our Office of Black Affairs and will work with cross-functional partners, leaders, and employees to continue building upon and advancing a global strategy and integration into the business. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior leaders. Additionally, this role offers high visibility in the communities that we serve and the chance to work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders.Job Responsibilities:
Leverage external market knowledge and understand the current environment within Diversity/HR and employee needs in order to determine solutions/plans.
Implement programs that support creating equal opportunities for Black individuals within the company and the broader community.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program effectiveness, brand awareness and sustainability.
Maintain a strong controls environment by implementing and adhering to risk/control expectations, regulatory requirements and standards, procedures, and processes in partnership with Controls and our Diversity, Opportunity & Inclusion Operations team.
Build strong employee partnerships and act as a leader for the BOLD community and allies internally through Business Resource Groups and other forums.
Advocate for policies and practices that promote opportunity and inclusion for Black individuals within the company and the community.
Enhance internal understanding and employee engagement with the Office of Black Affairs initiative through thought leadership.
Partner closely with Centers of Excellence to drive inclusivity and focus on cultural moments across the firm.
Demonstrate return on investment, and measure progress against the contribution of the Office of Black Affairs programs, leveraging data and insights to monitor impact, influence and drive long term plans for the organization.
Foster a culture of inclusion, innovation, and continuous improvement within the Office of Black Affairs team.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
Bachelor's degree
10+ years' experience in a leadership role in diversity and inclusion, community development or corporate responsibility.
Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the Black community.
Proven ability to promote a strong controls environment by adhering to risk/control expectations, procedures, and processes.
Strong business acumen and understanding of the financial services industry.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Passion for driving systemic change and promoting equity and inclusion; ambassador of and a thought leader in the space, as well as a personal commitment to making progress internally and externally.
