Our client, a leading European investment bank specializing in corporate, private and retail banking, and investment, is seeking a Java Developer IV - Daily

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Position Type: Contract

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a self-motivated team player with strong previous experience as a senior technology developer having good technical and functional understanding of Front-Office processes and data flows in Equity Derivative systems.

Responsibilities:

-Development and Enhancement of Data-warehouse to be used for Regulatory requirements.

-Coordinate with teams in other regions outside US business hours.

-Drive the business requirements autonomously.

-Provide status updates, proper escalations & reporting to management & Business.

-Write technical specification and document functional flows.

-Communication and coordination with Business analysts and other technology teams.

Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in Core Java.

-Hands on experience in Oracle Database, PL/SQL.

-Must have Exposure to Equity or Derivative products in Front-Office or regulatory reporting systems.

-Good communication and coordination is a must.

-Must be experienced in Linux and Bash Shell/Scripting.

-Must have knowledge of FIX Protocols.

-Must have knowledge in software design principles and patterns.

-Must be strong in problem solving and trouble-shooting.

-Experience in Python is a plus.

-Knowledge of Middleware (MQ, JMS, etc.) is a plus.

-Knowledge of trade life cycle and global market financial products is big plus.

-Practice in Agile methodology is a plus.

-Practice in test-driven development is a plus.

-Good practice in SDLC is a plus.
