Data Architect - Fulltime Position

Direct Hire with Client Location: Jersey City, NJ -

• Leading the team responsible for rollout, adoption and maintenance of next generation Computing and Data Platforms at the firm
• Working collaboratively with various stakeholders to agree on platform decisions
• Proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the platforms at the firm
• Developing and motivating the computing and data platform teams with the ability to deliver the roadmap and accomplish team goals
• Providing technical and market expertise, leadership, and architectural innovation in all layers of the platforms to ensure an effective, scalable set of platforms capable of supporting the dynamic workplace
• Planning and Implementation of features/enhancements
• Conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify new infrastructure solutions to onboard

• 12+ years’ experience in Computing and Data Platforms, with experience in Cloud computing, data management concepts, tools, and processes.
• Thorough understanding of high-performance computing technologies and applications, proven track record of driving transformation within engineering teams in a matrix organization
• Strong in execution, with a demonstrated ability of delivering results under time pressure and managing competing priorities with multiple complexities
• Track record of building effective teams, coaching skills to help team members
• Be data driven, with the ability to communicate recommendations using facts and derived information
• Experience in cost/benefit analysis and prioritization
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex ideas and articulate in very clear messages to enhance discussions with all stakeholders, ability to effectively communicate to different types of stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, Master’s degree preferred
• Experience in asset management industry, big data solutions incl platforms like Snowflake or other similar
