Our large financial client is hiring! This is a 18 month contract position that will start out remote. Once safe person will report to office in Jersey City.
Job description: Work as a application support associate in the Financial Securities team. Provide technical and business support to the business on multiple applications and also involves managing Incidents, Releases, and various projects. Help build automation tools and reduce manual and repetitive tasks.Responsibilities include: • Support users on complex technical issues, problems related to supported app, networks, servers and workstations. Respond to requests and inquiries from users within the pre-determined timeframe of our service level agreement • Identify solutions to work around open issues / problems that are under investigation or pending resolution. • Document, and track, case histories, issues, and actionable steps taken • Provide solutions to automate manual tasks • Understanding, in depth, the business processes supported by the system. • Ensuring continuity and quality by owning the resolution of issues across platforms. Tracking progress and escalating as appropriate unless resolution reached. • To ensure that applications and related services are documented and kept current. Reviewing and ensuring complete and appropriate and over of documentation prior to operational acceptance of new or changed applications • Technical requirements are strong experience in SQL Server, Windows server management and exposure to Net stack (C# and ASP) • Experienced in managing complex distributed application stacks with the ability to connect dots to resolve production issues quicklyRequired skills: BS in Computer Science or Engineering UNIX / Linux OS, Windows, knowledge of scripting languages - perl and/or python Ability to write SQL queries (a must) Ansible, Splunk, ITRS Geneos Banking industry experienceDesired Skills:Good communication skills Team playerEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
