- Should have 10+ years of experience
- Design and implementation of changes to the risk batch train (over 11,000 jobs across 4 regions)
- Design and implementation of changes to the batch orchestration framework (SHADE) and the post-processor framework (STDOUT)
- Responding to production issues and queries
- Proactively identifying opportunities for simplification and improvement in the stack
- Jobs configuration changes in our current applications
- Writing small scripts
- Debugging and investigating different issues
- The resource should be more focused on perl/scripting and less on java.
- Strong Unix skills including command line (shell)
- Strong Perl
- Strong Java
- Analytical; strong problem-solving skills
- Experience of working on a complex heterogeneous code base
- Self-starting; ability to work either solo or as part of a team
- Ability to deliver under pressure
- Financial markets knowledge (knowledge of capital markets derivatives products, workflows and risk representations essential)
- Scala
- Apache Spark
- SQL
- Distributed computing experience (e.g. Data Synapse)
- Advanced derivatives product knowledge, including equity derivatives
