Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for two hands-on React UI Developers for a contractor role with one of our premier Insurance clients based in New York City. He or she will focus on JavaScript (ES6), REACT, Redux based development. This position can be fully remote as long as the person lives on the U.S. East coast since meetings start at 7 am EST. Responsibilities:
- You will create, design and build new and highly interactive, dynamic, and data-driven components, applications and features. You will also enhance some existing components.
- You will be a hands-on developer building high-quality code across multiple components including connecting data via APIs.
- You will take total ownership and be proud of the code you develop.
- 3+ years of professional experience as a software developer with a greater focus on UI and front-end architecture.
- Deep knowledge of modern web frameworks and web architecture best practices and patterns.
- 3+ years of experience with modern JavaScript (ES6) frameworks, current on REACT, Jest, Enzyme, Copybook, Redux, React-Testing,
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
- Strong experience with REACT and related technologies REACT 15/16/17, Webpack
- Strong UI, LESS, SCSS, HTML responsive design, e.g. CSS grid, flexbox, media queries, bootstrap
- Cross-browser compatibility
- Experience with REST APIs and REST API best practices
- Secure UI development best practices, e.g. OWASP
- Good experience with Agile process and planning, Jira, Confluence
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Excitement, energy and strong people skills including excellent written and verbal communication
- BA/BS degree in computer science or related field
- Group Insurance, P&C, Claims processing
- Knowledge of WCAG compliance
- knowledge of SQL and NoSQL
- Experience with CI/CD and GIT, Jenkins or similar
- Experienced with deploying cloud architectures; AWS
- Deep understanding and experience with cloud and security and authentication
