This position will partner with and service the Sales organization to drive ad revenue, help clients build brand awareness and consideration, engage with Walmart customers, convert Walmart consumers to shoppers, help transform relationships with suppliers and brand owners from transactional into co-creating partnerships, and provide measurable results for our clients.This complex, cross-functional role will be responsible for development and management of seasonal, category and client-led marketing programs across the Walmart omni-channel ecosystem. This position will directly support Walmart's advertising sales team and partner with enterprise marketing, retailtainment, site experience and category activation teams to conceptualize and create unique, custom, and high-impact marketing solutions for clients.This position sits under WMC Marketing and reports to the Sr. Manager, Client Solutions - Food.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Development of custom advertising initiatives for Walmart Connect Clients; Partner with WMC Sales to identify supplier needs, priorities and customer insights.
Develop and drive marketing tentpole and category-supplier based strategy, and ultimately responsible for respective department/accounts they/their team support.
Create and execute category and supplier-specific solutions based on customer insights, secure internal approvals, build solution materials and pitch to clients.
Collaborate and establish links between Walmart Connect and Walmart Enterprise Marketing, ensuring consistency between Walmart's supplier advertising initiatives and Walmart's own customer messaging.
Manage the cross-functional connection points, processes, and planning cycles between Walmart Retail Marketing, Creative, Cross-Category Solutions, Seasonal, Site and Product teams.
Service and partner with Sales, Client Brand Strategy and Media Planning to understand cross-category, seasonal, and category-based integration opportunities to bring to market.
Actively facilitate and participate in brainstorming and working sessions across cross-functional teams.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field and 1 year's experience in marketing or a related field OR 5 years' experience in marketing or a related field.
5-8 years of experience in marketing or related field preferred with experience working cross-functionally in integrated marketing, ad sales marketing, client/custom solutions, creative strategy, shopper marketing, or agency account management capacity. Digital or Social media experience required.
Creative marketer with the ability to conceptualize innovative ideas and new ways of working.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly collaborative, team player, strong influencer, and relationship builder.
Strong understanding of client relationships and framing.
THE BONUS - STRONGLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Retail/e-commerce experience with commercial retail solutions such as Walmart Direct spend, experiential marketing, CRM (Customer Relationship Management), e-commerce, media, etc.
Experience working on or a passion for the Food and Beverage business.
