Position SummaryWhat you'll doThe Walmart Connect Brand and Enterprise Sales Marketing team is looking for a Consumer and Category Insights Marketing expert to lead our Category Insights and Trends Team.WHAT WE ARE SEEKINGWalmart Connect is looking for an experienced, strategic and accomplished leader in insights-driven media and marketing strategy, storytelling, and sales enablement to partner cross-functionally, working closely with Marketing, Sales and suppliers to drive growth and excellence across verticals and accounts.The ideal candidate has innate leadership skills and a record leading high-performing teams, a proactive and consultative approach, brings deep experience in B2C media and marketing strategy, is highly analytical and exceptionally articulate in crafting insights-driven narratives and who can make many advanced WMC Solutions compelling and easy to understand. They are self-motivated and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, and ready to thrive. Someone who will truly make us stand out from the pack. You will report to the Senior Director, Marketing Planning and Strategy.This is not a remote role. You would be required to spend the majority of the work week in either our Hoboken, NJ; Bentonville, AR or San Bruno, CA offices.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESThis pivotal role will be responsible for managing a team of analytic marketers who leverage data and insights on customers, categories, trends, etc. to create compelling and insightful narratives that articulate how our client and agency partners can better connect with customers-to grow their business and drive results at Walmart through WMC's media, ad product, and marketing solutions.This work includes:

Leads, coaches, and motivates an ambitious and high-performing team to drive standards of excellence; to earn trust and recognition through strong strategic output, and thrive.

Sets and deliver objectives and key results (OKRs) that ladder up to leadership OKRs to support the business, providing OKRs for direct reports to align to.

Lead team in the development and evolution of insights and thought leadership deliverables that support the internal and external needs across media sales, marketing, client solutions and client services.

Partner with cross functional leaders to build strategy and approach for supporting key growth areas, working collaboratively across enterprise marketing teams, sales, marketing and partnerships teams to ideate how to build impactful content that helps drive and inform media investment with WMC.

Assess and evolve our strategy with an eye towards optimizing the number and types of content we publish with an eye towards driving incremental impact with every published pieces.

Reviews, manages, and ensures the delivery of category-specific, actionable and insights driven linked to WMC's core ad product, media and marketing solutions.

Ensures that all output and communication deliver a balance of analytical rigor and storytelling, conveying insights and influence with a strong and informed point of view.

Identifies opportunities to design scalable sales enablement solutions that provide value across verticals, creating templates, standards of excellence and ways of working to enable the category insights leads to work efficiently to develop quality output consistently across verticals.

Identify and manage third party partners, tools and data providers ensuring onboarding, knowledge and expertise is achieved within the team.

Build a learning and innovation agenda, staying the course on tried and true but continually seeking to optimize and innovate.

Manage a team of 16 (4 direct reports) leading a healthy and positive team culture and implementing plans to coach, motivate and develop individuals on the team-with clarity on personal goals and growth plans.

Cultivate key relationships for crucial collaboration aligning multiple different internal working team members, WMC leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver on Walmart Connect content marketing and messaging strategy.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field and 4 years' experience in marketing or related field OR 7 years' experience in marketing or related field.

1 year's supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional projects.

Requirements :

10-15 years of experience specifically focused on strategy-driven media/marketing sales enablement, digital or e-commerce media, strategic planning, or performance marketing-brand, supplier, agency, and media side.

A dynamic content strategy leader who can bring simplicity to complexity.

More than a storyteller, possesses balance of right brain-left brain: Being highly analytical, curious by data and articulate in connecting insights to strategies that demonstrate creativity and have a compelling story arc and narrative.

A strategic problem solver who can build a strong vision and strategy to guide the team through ambiguity and change.

Excellent executional oversight to think ahead and anticipate all moving parts to deliver excellence in our drumbeat of content.

Strong written and oral communication skills to be able to build consensus among leadership and XFN partners.

An orchestrator who will cohesively partner with teammates, leaders, and internal partners in research, sales, comms, marketing, and other relevant teams.

Experience in media industry.

Experience in supervising others and leading cross-functional projects.
