Description Robert Half has an immediate need for a part-time, experienced Bookkeeper. If you have worked with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, posting to the General ledger, journal entries and financial reporting, then you may be the right candidate for this Bookkeeper opportunity. Located in the Hoboken, New Jersey area, this Bookkeeper position is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity that you do not want to miss.Responsibilities
Support quality archived records by filing documents
Oversee and manage general ledger
Preside over an efficient system to track financial transactions and define policies and procedures for bookkeeping
Review payments received and record deposits
Be responsible for accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
Put together financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
Settle accounts by reconciling entries
Requirements - BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
5+ years of previous experience as a Bookkeeper
Bookkeeping experience
Bookkeeping Functions experience
Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Experience with month end closings
Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
Experience using accounting software
