Job DescriptionPURPOSE OF POSITION

The Facility Project Manager position is responsible for the overall coordination and completion of all projects on time within Budget and within Scope. Directly supports the Engineering Department in setting up and managing the contracts, accounting, and project management functions for jobs of all sizes. The Manager will manage the scope, quality and costs for all assigned projects. This position will be evaluated on the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of work performed. Must be able to work any hours or days necessary for the Engineering Department.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAverage % Of TimePerform contract research, set-up, and basic project management duties, with an eye for detail. Complexities include allocation to four different operating entities. Define projects scopes, goals and deliverables. Perform project tracking, schedules, timelines and report on progress.

Supportive to Finance Department programs and initiatives, as related to all Engineering projects. Manage projects budgets and allocate project resources. Prepare vendor set-ups in accounting programs. Reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and project close-out documentation.

Perform exceptional communication skills throughout all functions of the job, i.e. guests, department managers, contractors, vendors, and fellow associates.

Perform any and all duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESThe individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.

Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Must possess basic computational ability.

Must possess basic computer skills

Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required.

Ability to lead by example with a can do attitude.

Must be a self-driven individual with a great teamwork approach concept.

Ability to solve problems and make rational decisions.

Knowledge of Resort Engineering Department operations.

Must have a good understanding of life expectancy cycles of equipment, casegoods and softgoods.

Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations, including, but not limited to the following statutes and their comparable state and local laws (where applicable): Title VII, ADEA, Equal Pay Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, FLSA, ADA, OSHA, FMLA, and NLRA.

Physical Demands: Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature generally is moderate and controlled by Resort environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F), possibly for one hour or more.

Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.

Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different outlets and other departments of the Resort on a timely basis.

Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.

Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.

Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.

Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. frequently.

Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally.

Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.

Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.

Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machine, electric typewriter, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, FAX machines, photocopiers, dolly and other office equipment as needed.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS Education Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience

Previous hotel, healthcare facility or construction experience preferred.

Must have 3-5 years of experience in managing capital projects required.

Previous management experience preferred.
