Job Description SummaryThe primary objective of the Disaster Recovery Coordinator role is to assist the Disaster Recovery Team in the development, implementation, testing and on-going maintenance of disaster recovery plans in an out-sourced IT environment with the goal of ensuring BD can recover critical IT assets to ensure business continuity in accordance with BD's policies and procedures.Job DescriptionWe are the makers of possibleBD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world. Maintain relationships with IT System Owners, Infrastructure Teams, Business Partners and Business System Owners to ensure adequate understanding of disaster recovery requirements, methodologies, tools and techniques.

Provide direction and guidance to out-sourced IT Service Provider staff and ensure compliance to BD IT standards, Disaster Recovery methodologies, strategies and processes.

Support and participate in DR activities including planning, risk assessments, implementations, annual reviews, plan maintenance, testing and training.

Lead multi-functional collaboration for plan development, tabletop and live exercises, reviews, test results, post-exercise analysis and other key events with partners.

Participate in risk assessments to identify potential risks, impacts, dependencies and recovery requirements in conjunction with IT service provider teams.

Establish methods and tools to supervise consistency to SLAs, project timelines and testing calendars to ensure DR plans are delivered on schedule and exercised regularly to align with BD policies.

Participate in the development of standard methodologies, processes and procedures to expand and strengthen the BD Disaster Recovery Program. Provide input to DR SOP, policies and procedure to ensure compliance to corporate guidelines and risk management strategies.

Support the implementation, upgrades and usage of tools, systems and repositories used for handling DR artifacts and critical information required to handle an adverse event

Qualifications and Experience:Required

BS in Information Systems or Associate's Degree with 3+ years of experience in Disaster Recovery Management required

Knowledge in IT Infrastructure support areas including but not limited to Storage, Database, Networks, Backups, Security and Operating Systems (WINTEL, Linux, Solaris) required.

Minimum of 3 years of IT Disaster Recovery, Service Continuity Management and/or Crisis Management experience in a large multi-national corporation required.

Subject matter expertise in Technology Disaster Recovery standard processes, methodologies, trends, tools, and issue identification

Experience handling recovery strategies for Cloud and On-Premises Technologies (Azure ASR, Synchronous and Asynchronous replication preferred).

Consistent record of optimally partnering with technical and non-technical collaborators.

Capable of coordinating and providing direction to internal and external teams in establishing procedures and related activities that are significantly sophisticated in scope.

Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and lead multiple priorities simultaneous and wowork under stresso meet deadlines.

Able to optimally collaborate and communicate across all levels of the organization

Knowledge of office efficiency and project management tools

Ability to work independently and resolve problems efficiently.

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and written.

Preferred

3-5 years of experience in Information Technology and technology lifecycle management preferred

Vendor Management skills and mentality to ensure success in driving completion of work through IT Service Providers and Partners.

Familiarity with risk assessments, system evaluations and other means of identifying DR requirements.
