Payroll Specialist

Description We are in search of a meticulous part-time Payroll Specialist based in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. This role is part of a contract employment opportunity. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing payroll functions, utilizing various accounting software systems, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. Responsibilities: Administer payroll functions, including processing payments and maintaining accurate records Utilize various accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, IBM AS/400, and Kronos Timekeeping System Perform 401k - RRSP Administration tasks and maintain accurate records Oversee all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed Use the 'About Time' system for efficient time tracking and management Resolve any payroll-related inquiries and issues, providing excellent customer service Monitor customer credit accounts, taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments Ensure all payroll activities comply with federal and state laws Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services Ability to use IBM AS/400 Knowledge of Kronos Timekeeping System 401k - RRSP Administration skills Proficiency in using About Time software Ability to handle Accounting Functions Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
