Associate Process Engineer

This position forms part of nutrition and requires the performance of the engineering/formulation research and development to provide Unilever with world class capability to launch and manufacture consumer goods products. The candidates must have a strong fundamental understanding of engineering principles with formulation and have a “hands-on” approach to pilot plant and laboratory scale-up activities. The individual needs to be able to work in a safe, disciplined manner. The position requires strong communication and team skills. Passion for the job is a must . Position Responsibilities

Work with product formulators to scale up and adapt bench-scale processes to pilot and manufacturing scale. Ensure robust process design within manufacturing capability.

2 . Write process specifications and implement processes at Unilever and third party manufacturing facilities. Design and execute trial proposals for manufacturing trials . Compile data, draw and report conclusions.

3 . Perform general Pilot Plant duties; equipment setup , batching, filling, clean-up and equipment maintenance . Produce product for consumer and clinical testing, and for stability studies.

Troubleshoot existing processes and product-related issues at Unilever and third party manufacturers.

5 . Use understanding of consumer and business needs to generate ideas for new products and better ways to make new and existing products .

Use process innovation skills to develop novel products and processes for new consumer offerings and provide strategic supply chain advantage.
