Description
- This contractor position is in support of the FAA's Aviation Weather Office requirement to conduct work for the development of new and enhanced aviation weather capabilities and systems, the sustainment and transition of legacy National Airspace System (NAS) subsystems, and other weather efforts Expertise and Functions
- Provide expertise in FAA Air Traffic Control operations, policies, and procedures.
- Provide support to either Project Manager or mid-level/junior Engineering/Science personnel in the areas of scheduling, data gathering/limited analyses, database population, preparation of technical/project reports, test reports, and associated documentation
- Participate in test or project events as assigned by Project Manager or Engineering supervisor
- Report status and results
- Other duties as assigned
- Education/Training (both required and desired):
- Associate's Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline required
- Experience:
- 12+ years of professional experience in the required task area required
- Minimum 10 years active, full performance level (FPL) ATC experience in any of the following environments: terminal, enroute, or oceanic
- Equivalent experience in the military or international air traffic environment will be considered
- FAA program experience highly desired
- Must be a US citizen
- Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
