Systems Engineer

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Windows Systems Engineer in Edison, New Jersey. This role is integral to our IT infrastructure, requiring expertise in operating systems, networking protocols, server hardware, and virtualization technologies. As a Systems Engineer, you will ensure the stability, security, and performance of the systems that support our operations. You will also collaborate with other IT professionals and contribute to strategic planning.Responsibilities: Develop and implement server infrastructure, including operating systems, virtualization platforms, and storage solutions Identify and resolve complex system issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance Implement robust security measures to safeguard systems and data from unauthorized access and cyber threats Create and update system documentation, including configuration procedures, troubleshooting guides, and disaster recovery plans Monitor system performance consistently and recommend upgrades and optimizations for improvement Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications Automate system administration tasks using scripting languages and configuration management tools Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for critical systems Evaluate emerging technologies and suggest recommendations to enhance the organization's IT infrastructure Mentor entry level systems engineers and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.Requirements Applicant must have a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Systems Engineer. Proficiency in Cisco Technologies is a must. Proficiency in Citrix Technologies is required. The candidate should be knowledgeable about Cloud Technologies. Familiarity with DELL EMC Technologies is necessary. Experience with Dell Technologies is expected. The candidate should possess skills in AB Testing. Automation skills are required for this role. Knowledge of AWS Technologies is a must for this role. The candidate should be familiar with Backup Technologies.
