Description Robert Half is seeking to hire a qualified candidate to provide the necessary day-to-day accounting support with a client of ours out of the Wholesale Distribution industry near Middlesex County as an entry-level Accountant. Responsibilities of the role are as follows:
Bill processing
AP invoicing
Invoice discrepancy management: resolving quantity and pricing discrepancies
Looking for prior knowledge/experience with vendor management
AP reconciliations for their products
Also processing freight discrepancies
Assisting with AP audit in October and February
Looking for someone eager to learn and take on new responsibilitiesSomeone who can make an impact for the team and the workloadSoftware:
Rapid (internal system they can train on)
Oracle (willing to train)
Excel for importation of financial data (pivot tables, vlookups, formulas/functions)
Requirements
1+ years of relevant accounting experience at minimum
Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
Must have a BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance
Foundational knowledge in Invoice Discrepancies
Comprehensive knowledge of Process Vendor Invoices
Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
Deep understanding of account reconciliation
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is needed
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Strong attention to detail
