Description Robert Half is seeking a long-term contract / temporary Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to become a vital part of a rapidly growing team at a respectable company in the Retail industry. Updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, processing expense reports, resolving A/P issues, and matching, batching, and coding invoices are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. You will be working alongside a strong staff of hard working individuals who have a team minded approach. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the East Rutherford, New Jersey area and will be a long-term contract / temporary position.Your responsibilities
Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
Carry out a full-cycle A/P
Execute additional tasks as needed
Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
Help with internal and external audits as required
Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed Requirements - Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Excel Formulas experience preferred
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Proficiency in Enter Vendor Invoices
