Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity in East Orange, New Jersey. This role involves processing and coding invoices, managing customer transactions, and maintaining accounts receivable records. It offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Prepare and submit monthly AIAs to our customers. Review and code daily outgoing invoices and incoming payments. Monitor and manage incoming bank and credit card transactions on a daily basis. Run collections reports on a weekly basis to ensure all payments are up to date. Use Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate records of all transactions and customer communications. Actively resolve customer inquiries regarding their accounts or payments. Regularly review customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.Requirements Proficiency in AIA Billing is required for this role. Strong understanding and practical experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential. Ability to accurately Code Invoices is a must. Experience with Billing procedures and practices is necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for data management and analysis. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is highly desirable. Proven track record in a similar role within a fast-paced business environment is preferred. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and best practices. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
