We are hiring in Bayshore NY & Trenton NJ
Talay Trailers is a family owned and operated Semi Trailer rental, leasing, sales and repair company with over 50 years in the business. We are looking for hard working trailer technicians and trailer prep personnel. We work on our own rental fleet of 4000 trailers. We also service multiple other companies with all their trailer needs including mobile service.
Talay is looking for the following:
Road / Mobile mechanics, (normal business hours)
In shop Trailer mechanics, mechanical, brakes, suspension, electrical, abs, and body. Any repairs that can be related to a trailer.
In shop tank repair trailer mechanic. Training in tanker repairs is available. However, you must have trailer repair and fabrication experience already
Body prep, painters to paint trailers.
Trailer Technician and Mobile Technicians
Be on time ready to work
Must have their own tools
CDL A – Preferred but not required
Pay Rate is calculated by experience
Electrical diagnosis experience
ABS diagnosis and repairs
Welding and fabrication
Be able to repair trailer body damage
Be able to repair suspension, chassis and frame components
Understand and repair an air brake system and brake components.
Be able to perform FHWA inspection and PMI services
Problem solving
Ability to lift heavy objects
Willing to work outside
Must work clean and safe
Must be able to perform all work adhering to DOT and OSHA guidelines
Must work with proper PPE
Mobile Technicians must be willing to travel and work in all conditions
We only work on trailer, we do not work on tractors
Mobile Technicians will be responsible to keep their truck clean and organized to a company standard
Must be a driven individual, possessing a positive attitude, good work ethic, and someone who strives to learn and improve their skill level.
Trailer body prep/painters
Be on time ready to work
Painting experience preferred not required. We will train if needed
Paint work is done with paint brushes and paint cans, you will not be painting a complete trailer
No tools needed
The ability to climb ladders and paint at the same time
Remove decals and decal glue from a trailer
The ability to follow instructions
Be involved in keeping the shop environment clean
Will be involved in other projects to improve the shop environment
Must work clean and safe
Be able to work with proper PPE
You will have the ability to be trained to advance in the company to a technician if you fit the qualifications
Must be a driven individual, possessing a positive attitude, good work ethic, and someone who strives to learn and improve their skill level.
